How many bends are you allowed in conduit?

Conduit is allowed 360 degrees of total bend between pull points. Four quarter bends, or any combination adding to 360, and then the run must reach a box, conduit body, or other pull point.

The rule appears per raceway type: 358.26 for EMT, 352.26 for PVC, and matching sections elsewhere, all with the same number.

Offsets are the silent budget-eaters. Two 30 degree kicks cost 60 degrees, so a run with three 90s and one offset is already at its limit.

The limit exists for the pull. Past 360 degrees, friction multiplies and insulation gets shaved. On long runs, planning a pull box before you need one beats fighting the rope after.
